"Fashola is working, Lagos is working" was the cliche in preparation for the general elections earlier this year and is still is. BRF's achievement in his first four years guaranteed him an easy ride for a second term. The good news is the man doesn't seem to be slowing down. The new tenancy law is long over due but is very welcomed. It is just mere greed and insensibility for anyone to ask for 3 years advance down payment for a house. It is even more annoying to know that most people do not make a quarter of such payment in a year. Our system encourages corruption.
Even though some landlords are losing sleep on this new law, it was the right decision to make. Some opposition leaders think its not good enough. Well, that is really not usual. Politicians are public servants and when they make good decision and protect our rights, they should be appreciated. Good look BRF, other governors take cue.
